When is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st. Check your lease for full details. Late payments will be assessed late fees and the eviction process will begin as soon as expedient.
How much is rent?
The rent amount will be in your lease. Your lease will also explain many of the extra charges assessed on monthly, yearly or periodical basis. Rent is not considered payed if all fees are not also payed.
How should rent be paid?
Rent can be paid electronically via the web interface you will be provided during on-boarding. The online payments portal charges a convenience fee. For free payment the preferred method is placing a check in the onsite drop box.
Are there additional fees?
Yes. Many items require extra payments or have additional fees. The billing documents will describe the fee and when payment is due. All additional fees must be paid by rent due date.
Will my rent go up when I renew my lease?
Yes. Rent goes up on lease renewal. The amount will be listed in the rent renewal documents.
Parking Lot
Is there Parking at The Village Apartments
Yes. Parking is limited to residents and their guests only. Vehicles must be in good working order with valid tabs. Parking passes must be displayed at all times. Guests must get guest parking pass.
My car was towed what do I do?
Contact the towing company, Frovik Towing & Recovery. Signs are posted by parking lot entrance.
What will the towing cost?
The cost is undisclosed. The total cost will be towing and impound storage fees. Google reviewers for the towing company claim the price they paid was $300 - $400.
My car was towed by mistake, what can I do?
You will have to pay to get your car out. If you feel you can prove your case you can file suit in small claims court.
My car was damaged by a pothole in the parking lot.
The parking lots have many potholes and road hazards. It is the driver and car owners responsibility to keep their vehicle in working order. If you tire is flat when the parking lot tow crew checks your vehicle, it will be towed. Your cars collision insurance might cover car damage from potholes.
Garage
What do I do if my garage door wont open?
This can happen for many reasons. It wont be know what it will take to fix or how long it will take to fix until a maintenance person assess it. It is best to schedule a maintenance appointment ASAP.
What do I do if my garage door fell off the tracks?
The garages are over 50 years old and in most cases have original components. Things are going to break. It is possible the vehicle owners auto insurance will cover the damage. It is possible renters insurance will cover the damage. It is best to contact maintenance immediately.
I cant get my car out of my broken garage.
This is unfortunate. There is limited ride share or taxi availability in Forest Lake. There is an Enterprise rent-a-car in Forest Lake, about 2 miles away from the apartment complex.

Is Forest Lake a safe City?
Forest Lake has a surprisingly high crime rate. Your chance of becoming a victim of violent crime in Forest Lake is one in 1089. Your chance of becoming a victim of any of these crimes in Forest Lake is one in 56. The map indicates the highest crime area of the city is where the Village Apartments is located.
Is Forest Lake a walkable city?
No. Forest Lake is generally not considered a walkable city. The area near the village apartments doesn’t have any sidewalks. Walking to sidewalks would require walking on dangerous roadways or trespassing on private property.
Is Forest Lake a bikeable city?
Although Forest Lake scores better for bikeablity than walkability, it is still not desirable. Forest Lake does not have many bike lanes. Storing a bike at the Village Apartments will also be a challenge. The high crime nature of the area makes bike ownership a perilous endeavor.
